Pain control

Hypnosis and NLP techniques have been used for many years to alleviate pain. The celebrated Irish surgeon Dr Jack Gibson (1909-2005) used hypnosis  as an alternative to anaesthetics during his long and illustrious career, carrying out over 4000 procedures without conventional anaesthesia.

Consult your doctorFirst...consult your doctor!

It's important to remember that pain is a symptom. It may be a symptom of an underlying condition that needs medical attention so it is imperative that you consult your doctor regarding any persistent pain.

Mind over matter

I can teach you self hypnotic techniques to alleviate most types of chronic and acute pain, including......

  • HeadacheMigraine headaches
  • Menstrual pain
  • Neuralgia
  • Injuries
  • Pain control for dental surgery
  • Rheumatic and arthritic pain

Remember, this use of hypnosis is not a substitute for medical treatment. Merely removing the sensation of pain is not curing a condition, but it can prove a valuable supplement to traditional medicine, and certainly avoids the side effects associated with most analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs.

Coronavirus Covid-19

The current pandemic situation is difficult for everyone, but especially those already suffering from anxiety issues. I want to continue to help as much as I can.

Social distancing guidelines now mean that I am unable to offer face to face therapy for the next few weeks, but I haven't gone away totally. If you need to call to talk to someone please don't hesitate to do so. In some cases it may be possible to arrange therapy sessions by Skype, FaceTime or similar.

I'm here to help.
